Are you looking for an entry-level role in the NHS?
This course is your opportunity to progress into a career in the NHS.
Delivered in partnership with the Northern Care Alliance (NCA), this course offers you the chance to take part in a four-week work placement at one of the NCA sites. You will also get the chance to work on your employability skills.
At the end of the programme, you will get the opportunity to interview for a live vacancy with the NCA.
You must live in Greater Manchester to take part and be able to travel to hospitals within the Northern Care Alliance Group.
How it works
The free eight-week employability course in Greater Manchester offers you a chance to gain extensive knowledge of the healthcare sector, specific to the NHS. During the course you will:
Take part in a full-time four-week placement with the NHS
Understand how to identify your own skills
Gain valuable experience in a hospital setting
Receive specialist application support and guidance
Write a personal statement
Complete NHS e-learning
Practice interview skills
Have the opportunity to interview for a live role within the NCA group
Understand the healthcare sector and the NHS in detail
Speak to experienced NHS workers
No previous experience is required to take part in this course.
We are working closely with the NCA to provide the opportunity to interview for Band 2 or 3 roles within their Trust. The jobs available will be a mix of clinical and non-clinical roles.

Royal Oldham Hospital
Salford Royal (there will be limited placements at this location)
Fairfield General Hospital
